If you want to know where to buy prepaid sunpass, then you have come to the right place. There are a few things that you should know before buying one. These include what it costs, how to set up an account, and whether it’s compatible with E-Pass and LeeWay.
Mini vs standard sunpass
If you’re going to get a SunPass, you’ll need to decide which version to get. There are two options available, the Mini and the Pro. The latter is the more expensive of the two and offers more benefits to motorists.
The Mini, on the other hand, has a lower price tag but a smaller scope of validity. It is a pocket-size device that can be installed on the windshield of your vehicle. You can buy it from the Florida Turnpike, at select Florida Welcome Centers, and from retail stores.
You can also purchase SunPass online. It is a prepaid account that lets you use toll roads. Once you have a SunPass, you can drive on any toll road in Florida. However, you are responsible for any tolls you may incur.
To get your SunPass, you must first create an account. Then you must choose whether you want to pay by a credit card or with a prepaid balance.
Compatibility with E-Pass and LeeWay
If you are a resident of Lee County, Florida you’ll be happy to know that you can use your E-Pass toll transponder to drive anywhere in the state without paying a dime. In fact, you may have to remove all of your other toll transponders from the vehicle in order to make the most of your E-Pass. You can also sign up for discount programs.
In fact, you can find E-Pass on many of the local roads in Central Florida. In addition to the aforementioned roads, you can expect to be able to make use of the transponder on the Midpoint, Cape Coral and Sanibel Causeway bridges. These are all electronic toll systems, which means you won’t have to worry about a traffic jam.
The best part about it all is you can save money on gas by using your newfound toll free access. There are even free LeeWay transponders to be had, so you don’t have to spend a dime for your daily commute.
Cost
SunPass is the prepaid toll program of choice in the Sunshine State. Using the system, drivers can save 25% on tolls while driving on the Florida Turnpike. For the average commuter, the cost of a toll can easily reach $50 a month. The best part is, the cost is deductible, allowing drivers to recoup some of the money they spent on the road.
There are two main types of transponders. One is the SunPass mini, which uses adhesive to adhere to the windshield. It can be purchased from retail outlets or online. To keep your account current, opt for the Easy Pay Automatic Replenishment program.
A more traditional system is the SunCard. Designed to hold prepaid value, these suncards can be purchased and sent out by first class mail. Orders are fulfilled at the local Operations Center in Sanford. These cards can be loaded with up to $270 for one-way fares. If you’re on the road more often than your budget allows, you may want to opt for the reloadable suncard.
Setting up a SunPass account
Using SunPass is one of the most convenient ways to pay for tolls. It is a prepaid toll program that is managed by the Florida Turnpike Authority. You can use SunPass tolls on toll roads, bridges and even parking facilities.
A SunPass account can save you up to 25% on tolls. This program can be used on any Florida toll road, including Turnpike roads, managed lanes and express lanes. To start using SunPass, you will need to purchase a transponder.
After you have set up your account, you can add funds by using your credit card or debit card. You can also top up your SunPass account at thousands of retail locations across the state. If you have a credit or debit card that has expired, you can update your payment information by calling the SunPass Customer Service Center.
When setting up your SunPass account, you will be required to provide a user name, email address, and password. You will also be asked to provide a Security Question.
